NAVAL AIR STATION SIGONELLA, Italy – August 29, 202 – Evacuees from Afghanistan departed Naval Air Station Sigonella Aug.28 in route to the United States. The U.S.-bound planes took off at full capacity carrying American citizens and vulnerable Afghans to Philadelphia and Dulles Airport as part of Operation Allies Refuge.
