PORTSMOUTH, Va. – Thanks to collaborative teaming between Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY), Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (PNSY), Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), and Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC), innovative repairs were recently completed on USS New Hampshire (SSN 778), saving more than 60 days and an estimated $3 million.

U.S. District Judge George J. Hazel sentenced Sean Levan Henson, age 28, of Suitland, Maryland to 10 years in federal prison, followed by 10 years of supervised release, for coercion and enticement of a minor. Judge Hazel also ordered that, upon his release from prison, Henson must register as a sex offender in the places where he resides, where he is an employee, and where he is a student, under the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (SORNA).

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Springfield Division is offering a $10,000 reward and Carbondale Police is offering $5,000 to anyone with information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the subject(s) involved in the August 22nd, 2021 murder of Keeshanna Jackson in Carbondale, Illinois.
Jackson was attending a party at 501 W. Cherry Street when Carbondale Police responded to a report of shots fired at that location. Upon arrival, officers found Keeshanna Jackson in the yard with a gunshot wound. She was transported to the hospital and later pronounced dead. Three others were wounded.
Carbondale Police believe there may be multiple shooters involved in the incident and numerous witnesses with information. “The Carbondale Police Department along with the FBI and other law enforcement partners continue to investigate this case to bring justice to Keeshanna and her family,” according to Carbondale Police Chief Stan Reno. “We want anyone with information to assist with this investigation to help us reach this goal and we are willing to reward anyone who does.”
“FBI Springfield and Carbondale Police are actively pursuing leads in this investigation,” said FBI Springfield Special Agent in Charge David Nanz. “We hope $15,000 in reward money will encourage the public to come forward with new information and help bring the perpetrator(s) to justice.”

Credit Suisse Group AG, a global financial institution headquartered in Switzerland, and Credit Suisse Securities (Europe) Limited (CSSEL), its subsidiary in the United Kingdom (together, Credit Suisse), have admitted to defrauding U.S. and international investors in the financing of an $850 million loan for a tuna fishing project in Mozambique, and have been assessed more than $547 million in penalties, fines, and disgorgement as part of coordinated resolutions with criminal and civil authorities in the United States and the United Kingdom. After taking account of crediting by the department of the other resolutions, Credit Suisse will pay approximately $475 million to authorities in the United States and the United Kingdom, as well as restitution to victims in an amount to be determined by the court.
