MARINE CORPS AIR STATION CHERRY POINT, N.C. – Acting Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Energy, Installations and James Balocki visited FRCE as part of a wider tour of Marine Corps Installations East facilities, including Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) New River and MCAS Cherry Point. Balocki toured the commands with a focus on facilities, environmental protection and restoration, and natural and cultural resources and conservation.

Crane Company (Crane) has agreed to pay to the United States over $4.5 million to resolve allegations that it violated the False Claims Act by failing to comply with Military Specification (Mil Spec) Mil-V 24624 for certain high performance butterfly valves and requirements for inclusion on the Qualified Products List (QPL) where the valves appeared. The valves were supplied for use in U.S. Navy ships.
