PROVIDENCE, R.I. – A Bristol woman was arraigned in federal court today, having been charged by indictment with allegedly perpetrating a scheme to fraudulently collected more than $40,000 in Social Security Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits for a child who was not in her care or custody, announced United Sates Attorney Zachary A. Cunha.

U.S. District Judge Stephanie A. Gallagher sentenced Warren Tillery, age 46, of Atlanta, Georgia and previously of Baltimore to five years in federal prison, followed by five years of supervised release, for conspiracy to commit mail and bank fraud. Judge Gallagher also ordered Tillery to pay $166,860 in restitution to victim financial institutions.

A Koreatown man is scheduled to be arraigned this afternoon after being arrested Saturday on federal charges alleging he worked with a Hollywood woman who ran a drug-delivery operation that in one incident sold counterfeit oxycodone pills containing fentanyl that resulted in a fatal opioid overdose.

WASHINGTON – Carlo General 21, of Washington, D.C., pleaded guilty today to a charge of voluntary manslaughter while armed in the fatal shooting of an 11-year-old boy on July 4, 2020, in Southeast Washington, announced U.S. Attorney Matthew M. Graves and Robert J. Contee III, Chief of the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD).
