WASHINGTON – The Secretary of the Navy and Chief of Naval Operations announced today that the President has made the following nomination for appointment to the rank of rear admiral lower half:

Captain Michael L. Baker has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral (lower half). Baker is currently serving as international affairs branch head, N5, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Washington, District of Columbia.

WASHINGTON – Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) is guided by a clear mission: to deliver effective, efficient readiness from the shore. Ensuring all employees are able to thrive via a supportive working environment is critical to that mission. In pursuit of that goal, CNIC headquarters has established 10 Employee Resource Groups (ERGs): voluntary, employee-led groups whose aim is to foster awareness, respect and inclusion within the workplace.
