SAN DIEGO – An F/A-18F Super Hornet crashed in Death Valley National Park, California, at approximately 3 p.m. (PDT), October 4. The pilot was treated for minor injuries at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, and released later that night.

BATH, Maine – The christening of the future USS Carl M. Levin (DDG 120) took place on 2 October 2021 at the General Dynamics Bath Iron Works shipyard in Bath, Maine. DDG 120 is the fifth (of nine) Arleigh Burke-class, “Flight IIA: Technology Insertion” variant for the U.S. Navy.

PHILADELPHIA – The Naval Aviation Enterprise (NAE) implemented Naval Sustainment System-Aviation (NSS-A) in 2019 to boost mission capable (MC) rates of F/A-18 Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler fleets to 80 percent.
