U.S. NAVY ICE CAMP QUEENFISH – The Hon. Meredith Berger, Performing the Duties of Under Secretary of the Navy, visited the U.S. Navy’s Ice Camp Queenfish, built on a sheet of Arctic ice floating 160 nautical miles offshore, and the Virginia-class fast attack submarine USS Illinois (SSN 786) on March 5-7 to observe Ice Exercise (ICEX) 2022.

NAVAL AIR FACILITY ATSUGI, Japan — Patrol Squadron (VP) 47 hosted Sailors assigned to Commander, Submarine Group (CSG) 7/Task Force 74 (CTF-74), allowing the staff to familiarize themselves with the P-8A Poseidon’s varying mission sets and to gain a better understanding of the aircraft’s capabilities. Six training flights carrying a total of 33 Sailors were conducted at Naval Air Facility Atsugi, Japan, from Feb. 18-24, 2022.

MARINE CORPS AIR STATION CHERY POINT, N.C. – A team at Fleet Readiness Center East (FRCE) is leading the way within Commander, Fleet Readiness Centers (COMFRC) by using industry best practices to mine and analyze data, then turn that information into visualizations that can help leaders make data-driven decisions. Analysts evaluating systems within COMFRC are looking at FRCE’s methods to provide the template for a similar process that could be used across the enterprise.
