Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group (IKE CSG) is a multiplatform team of ships, aircraft and more than 5,000 Sailors, capable of carrying out a wide variety of missions around the globe. It brings multi-mission capable platforms to the U.S. Sixth Fleet area of operations with strike, ballistic missile defense, and intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance capabilities.

WASHINGTON – Over the last twenty years the Navy Reserve has accomplished much, all the while optimizing reserve equities to thrive in a post-9/11 conflict. And yet today we recognize that expecting to fight tomorrow’s conflict with today’s tactics, force structure and assets is a fool’s errand. To that end, we are now, and will remain, unambiguously focused on warfighting readiness as outlined in the Navy Reserve Fighting Instructions 2020.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – On April 13, Kevin F. Mooney was presented with the Navy’s Distinguished Civilian Service Award (DCSA) for his service as Executive Director, Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Fleet Logistics Center Jacksonville, and Executive Director, Commander Navy Region Europe, Africa, Southwest Asia from September 2011 to February 2020.
