On April 2, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy (IRGCN) Harth 55, accompanied by three fast attack craft (FAC)/fast inshore attack craft (FIAC), approached U.S. Coast Guard patrol boats USCGC Wrangell (WPB 1332) and USCGC Monomoy (WPB 1326) while the U.S. vessels were conducting routine maritime security patrols in the international waters of the southern Arabian Gulf.

FBI Seeking Community Leaders for Fall 2021 Citizens Academy

SALT LAKE CITY—The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Salt Lake City Field Office is encouraging civil, business, and religious community leaders in Utah to apply for our next FBI Citizens Academy. The Fall 2021 class will be held in person at the Salt Lake City Field Office on Thursday evenings for seven consecutive weeks beginning August 12, 2021, with a Saturday session on September 25.

The FBI Citizens Academy provides community leaders with an inside look into how the FBI Salt Lake City Field Office serves communities in Utah, Idaho, and Montana. Attendees learn how the FBI fulfills its mission and partners with local, state, and federal law enforcement partners to combat significant crime. Content includes exploration of the FBI’s investigative priorities including terrorism, counterintelligence, civil rights, cybercrime, public corruption, and violent crime.

Nearly 700 people have graduated from the Salt Lake City Field Office’s Citizens Academy program since 2003.
