Defense News in Brief: Chief of Navy Reserve Announces 17th Force Master Chief of the Navy Reserve

Chief of Navy Reserve and Commander, Navy Reserve Force, Vice Adm. John Mustin, announced today that Master Chief Petty Officer Tracy L. Hunt, Command Master Chief, Commander, Navy Reserve Forces Command, will be the next Force Master Chief of the Navy Reserve, starting this October. He will be the 17th Force Master Chief of the Navy Reserve.

Security News in Brief: Two Former Louisiana Correctional Officers Sentenced for Cover Up Following Death of an Inmate

Two Louisiana women, former jail deputies, were sentenced today to over a year in prison and six months in prison respectively for their roles in covering up a civil rights violation arising out of an inmate’s death at the St. Bernard Parish Prison (SBPP).

The Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM) has expanded its Pick/Up Program to 18 additional NEX locations in the continental United States. The Pick/Up Program allows authorized customers to purchase items on myNavyExchange.com/PickUp for pick it up inside their local NEX store.
