The MK 39 Expendable Mobile Anti-Submarine Training Target (EMATT) is an all-weather, lightweight, inexpensive and expendable Anti-Submarine training target used by air and surface anti-submarine warfare platforms. The EMATT can be used for both open ocean and on-range training at the Navy’s undersea fleet training ranges.

The Navy has authorized new hairstyles for men and women in a just-released uniform policy and grooming standards update. Also announced are changes to wear rules for watches, prescription glasses and sunglasses while in uniform, medically prescribed head coverings and earrings for men in civvies and changes to name tape policies, just to name a few.

As part of its virtual event series, the Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM) along with MWR Navy Entertainment, is hosting the Get Reset Labor Day weekend. The event will feature a virtual 5k race as well as virtual musical performances.

Recruit Training Command (RTC) returned to in-person guest attendance at graduation Aug. 13, 2021, for the first time in 17 months, and with that came the return of performing divisions, sometimes better known as 900 divisions.
Performing divisions are comprised of recruits in training who were selected upon arrival to boot camp to assist graduations. They are divided into staff divisions, state flag divisions, and triple threat divisions, which is comprised of the band, choir, and drill team.
The triple threat is unlike any other division with natural talent just waiting to be put on display.

NAVAL AIR STATION SIGONELLA, Italy – August 29, 202 – Evacuees from Afghanistan departed Naval Air Station Sigonella Aug.28 in route to the United States. The U.S.-bound planes took off at full capacity carrying American citizens and vulnerable Afghans to Philadelphia and Dulles Airport as part of Operation Allies Refuge.
