Brayan Mengou, of Hagerstown, Maryland, was sentenced today to 60 months of incarceration for participating in a firearms trafficking conspiracy, Acting U.S. Attorney Randolph J. Bernard announced. Mengou, age 22, pled guilty in July 2020 to one count of “Aiding and Abetting Illegal Transportation or Receipt in State of Residency of Firearms Purchased or Acquired Outside of State of Residency.”

Scott Douglas Born, a former correctional officer at Federal Correctional Institution Hazelton’s Female Facility, was sentenced today to three months of incarceration for the sexual abuse of an inmate, Acting U.S. Attorney Randolph J. Bernard announced.

Born, 33, of Bruceton Mills, West Virginia, pled guilty in February 2021 to one count of “Sexual Abuse of a Ward.”
